DEQ has determined that Docket No. 58-0102-2301 will not move forward in 2023. DEQ will review and propose IDAPA 58.01.02 for review under Executive Order 2020-01 at a later date.
Overview
DEQ held a scoping meeting on October 19, 2022, in advance of initiating rulemaking in compliance with Executive Order No. 2020-01, Zero-Based Regulation (EO 2020-01), for IDAPA 58.01.02, Water Quality Standards. Under EO 2020-01, all agencies are required to perform a critical and comprehensive review of their rule chapters to reduce the overall regulatory burden, streamline various provisions, and increase clarity and ease of use.
