Idaho Code § 67-19 requires state agencies to prepare a strategic plan and performance measurement report each fiscal year to ensure accountability to citizens and lawmakers, enhance service delivery, and assess program effectiveness.
Strategic Planning
DEQ’s strategic plan outlines our vision, mission, goals, core functions, objectives, performance measures, and benchmarks. It includes a 4-year horizon and is updated annually.
Our current strategic plan contains the following goals:
- Make recognizable and measurable environmental improvements.
- Provide first-class customer service as a trusted source for environmental leadership.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Performance Measurements
DEQ’s performance measurement report includes statutory authority, revenue and expenditure information, quantifiable benchmark performance measures, progress in meeting our goals, and performance targets for the next fiscal year.
