Grants and Loans

DEQ administers federal and state funds for grants and low-interest loans to improve the quality of Idaho’s water resources. Our drinking water grants and loans assist eligible public drinking water systems with facility planning projects to ensure safe and adequate supplies of drinking water. Our wastewater grants and loans help entities build or repair existing wastewater treatment facilities to achieve and maintain compliance with state and federal standards.

Drinking Water and Wastewater Letters of Interest

We invite communities to submit a Letter of Interest (LOI) explaining funding needs. We will evaluate and rank responses in our subsequent priority list. LOIs are due by January 14, 2022.

Register for one of our 2023 letter of interest virtual workshops on our Trainings, Conferences, and Workshop web page.
