Idaho Water Quality Workshop

The 36th Idaho Water Quality Workshop will be held March 3-4, 2026. Since 1990, this workshop has provided a forum for discussing surface water and groundwater quality methods, results, and policies. Sign up for workshop updates here.

There is no cost to attend. Registration will open December 15, 2025.

Now Accepting Presentation Proposals

Agencies, researchers, policymakers, and nonprofit leaders from Idaho and surrounding regions are invited to submit presentation proposals addressing topics such as:

  • Watershed management and restoration
  • Nutrient and sediment reduction strategies
  • Monitoring technologies and data management
  • Groundwater and surface water interactions
  • PFAS and emerging contaminants
  • Community engagement
  • Policy, regulation, and funding mechanisms

Presentation Formats:

  • Oral presentations (15 minutes)
  • Lightning talks (5–7 minutes)
  • Large-group discussions
  • Poster sessions

Important Dates:

  • November 9, 2025 – Abstract submission deadline
  • December 5, 2025 – Notification of acceptance 
  • December 15, 2025 – Conference registration opens
  • February 15, 2026 – Final presentation materials due

Virtual attendance will be offered through Zoom at this link, meeting ID 978 6651 2776. Conference brochures will be emailed to all remote attendees a week before the event. The brochure will also include the Zoom link.

The discounted room rate at the Boise Home2Suites is now expired. A discounted rate may still be available by calling the hotel at (208) 336-8277 and mentioning the Water Quality Workshop group.

Location and Parking

The workshop will be held in the Simplot Ballroom at the Boise State University Student Union Building. Free parking will be provided at the Lincoln Avenue Garage by following these steps.
