Public comments are one of many ways Idahoans can support informed decision-making.
Comment opportunities typically run between 15 and 30 days and cover a variety of topics, including technical guidance, permits, and regulatory decisions. We invite you to provide input on these projects and be a part of the discussion about Idaho’s natural resources.
To provide effective comments, we encourage you to follow these tips:
- Reference the facility name, permit number, project, or document on which you are commenting.
- Ensure your comments address the technical and regulatory analyses of the proposed permit or project.
- Address environmental impacts of a proposed permit or project (e.g., air quality impacts associated with a draft permit).
- Use examples and provide supporting materials when appropriate.
- Offer suggestions to address a concern or solve a problem such as timing, design, etc.
