DEQ seeks comment on draft reuse permit for Vallejo Properties, LLC

Accepting comments from August 24, 2026, through September 23, 2026.

The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) seeks comment on a draft reuse permit for Vallejo Properties, LLC.

Vallejo Properties, LLC, owner of the Ridgeview RV Resort, is seeking a reuse permit for its proposed municipal wastewater treatment facility located in unincorporated Ada County, just south of Boise’s current area of impact within the Ten Mile Creek Planning Area. The wastewater treatment facility and reuse areas located on the Ridgeview RV Resort property, will support wastewater flows from 310 RV spaces and an associated office and amenities, projected to generate 11.7 million gallons of Class A recycled water a year.

Recycled water will be used for landscape irrigation of 3.0 acres of turfgrass at the Ridgeview RV Resort during the growing season or applied to the rapid infiltration system. Treated water not meeting permit requirements will be temporarily stored in a lined pond and then returned to the headworks for retreatment.

The draft reuse permit establishes monitoring requirements, limits on nutrient and hydraulic loading, and conditions established by DEQ to protect public health and the environment. As part of the permitting process, the facility was also required to show that its operation would not cause public health or environmental concerns.

Written comments on the draft permit will be accepted through September 23, at 5 p.m. Mountain Time. The draft permit and staff analysis are available for public review at DEQ’s state office (1410 N. Hilton St.), DEQ’s Boise Regional Office (1445 N Orchard St.), and below under related documents.
