DEQ seeks comment on a proposed settlement action with Partner’s Produce, Inc.

Accepting comments from August 21, 2026 through September 21, 2026.

The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) seeks public comment on a proposed settlement action with Partner’s Produce, Inc., located in Payette Idaho, regarding its onion processing facility.

DEQ alleges that during the inspection conducted on July 9, 2024, Partner’s Produce, Inc. failed to comply with the “Idaho Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Rules” (IDAPA 58.01.25). DEQ’s records indicate that Partner’s Produce, Inc. did not obtain the required authorization at the time of the inspection, including an Idaho Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (IPDES) permit.

DEQ prepared a Consent Order directing Partner’s Produce, Inc. to resolve the alleged violations and either pay a civil penalty or request a compliance conference. Partner’s Produce, Inc. has resolved the alleged violations and is directed to pay a civil penalty of $7,600.

The proposed settlement action is available for public review on DEQ’s Public Comment Opportunities page and at the DEQ State Office, 1410 N Hilton Street, Boise, ID 83706. Written comments will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. MDT on September 21, 2026. This settlement action may be amended or adjusted in the future, in which case, DEQ may provide an additional public comment opportunity.
