The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) seeks comment on a draft permit to construct for Suncore Construction and Materials Inc., Nampa, Idaho.
Suncore Construction and Materials Inc. is construction materials production company. The company has proposed a new stationary truck mix concrete batch plant in Nampa, Idaho, consisting of aggregate stockpiles, a cement storage silo, a cement supplement (fly ash) storage silo, a weigh batcher, and conveyors. The facility combines aggregate, sand, fly ash, and cement and then transfers the mixture into a truck mixer, along with water, for in-transit mixing of the concrete. In addition, water heater(s) are used to heat the water in cold weather prior to use for the mixing of concrete.
DEQ has determined that construction and operation according to the proposed permit will not cause or significantly contribute to a violation of any ambient air quality standard and will not injure or unreasonably affect human or animal life or vegetation. DEQ has reviewed the application and completed an analysis of the information submitted by the applicant to operate a new stationary concrete batch plant. Based on this analysis, DEQ proposes to issue the permit to construct to Suncore Construction and Materials Inc., Nampa.
The draft permit materials are available for public review at DEQ’s State Office (1410 N. Hilton St.) and below in related documents.
