The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is requesting comment on the draft Idaho Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (IPDES) Hydrogen SulfideTechnical Local Limits Guidance (Guidance).
The Guidance is designed to help publicly owned treatment works develop technical local limits for hydrogen sulfide and reduce the introduction, generation, and release of hydrogen sulfide in sewer collection systems. DEQ collated the information presented in the Guidance from United States Environmental Protection Agency reports and guidance documents as well as other federal agencies and national organizations.
The draft materials are available for public review at DEQ’s State Office (1410 N. Hilton Street, Boise, Idaho) and on DEQ’s website. Written comments will be accepted through February 13, 2026, at 5 p.m. Mountain Time. Submit comments using the form below or by mail or e-mail to:
