DEQ seeks comment on draft water reuse permit modification for Mountain Utilities Company

Thursday, January 11, 2018

COEUR D'ALENE — The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is seeking public comment on a draft water reuse permit modification for Mountain Utilities Company (MUC) in Bonner County.

The company's water reuse permit allows it to operate a wastewater treatment facility and reuse system at Schweitzer Mountain Ski Resort and surrounding development. The modification would allow MUC to install new drip irrigation laterals on redefined areas and add a new ground water monitoring piezometer.

Written comments on the draft permit modification will be accepted through February 9, 2018, at 5 p.m. PST.

The draft permit modification and staff analysis are available for public review at DEQ's Coeur d'Alene Regional Office and on DEQ's website (download at right).
