Gavilon Grain, Burley, applies to DEQ to modify air quality permit to construct

BURLEY — The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has received a request from Gavilon Grain to modify the air quality permit to construct (PTC) that regulates emissions from the company’s grain processing facility in Burley.
The proposed permit modification will allow the company to install a new corn steam flaking operation. Emissions must remain within legally allowable limits.
A public comment period will be provided on the proposed permit if a written request is submitted to DEQ by January 2, 2018, at 5 p.m. MST.
