Accepting comments from May 19, 2021, through June 18, 2021.

The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is seeking comment on a proposed wastewater improvement project for the city of Aberdeen, Idaho.

The proposed project will address system deficiencies and meet upcoming phosphorus limits for the city’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit.

The proposed project involves rerouting a short section of Hazard Creek along Simplot’s property south of E Boat Dock Road, constructing an approximately 20-acre, high-density polyethylene-lined winter storage lagoon, pumping treated wastewater during the irrigation season from the lagoon to irrigate 182-acres of leased land on Beach Road, and improving the solids handing facility at the wastewater treatment plant, including sludge thickening and dewatering equipment.
