DEQ seeks comment on draft Lower Clark Fork River subbasin TMDL

Accepting comments from May 2, 2022, through June 1, 2022.

The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality seeks comment on the Lower Clark Fork Temperature total maximum daily load (TMDL).

The TMDL addresses 14 Category 4a water bodies, comprised of 22 assessment units in the Lower Clark Fork River subbasin in northern Idaho. It describes the key physical and biological characteristics of the subbasin, water quality concerns and status. pollutant sources, and recent pollution control actions in the Lower Clark Fork River subbasin and estimates the maximum thermal load that can be present and still allow that water body to meet water quality standards (40 CFR 130).

The report is available for review at DEQ’s State Office (1410 N Hilton Street, Boise, ID) and at DEQ’s Coeur d’Alene Regional Office (2110 Ironwood Parkway, Coeur d’Alene , Idaho).
