The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is announcing a public comment period and an opportunity for a public hearing for a draft Tier 1 operating permit for PotlatchDeltic Land and Lumber, LLC – Lumber Drying Division.
PotlatchDeltic Land and Lumber LLC operates a lumber drying facility, located at 2200 Railroad Avenue in St. Maries, Idaho, and is classified as a major facility, as defined by the “Rules for the Control of Air Pollution in Idaho” (IDAPA 58.01.01.008.10.c). As a major facility, PotlatchDeltic is required to apply for a Tier I operating permit pursuant to IDAPA 58.01.01.301, which establishes facility-wide requirements in accordance with the Idaho State Implementation Plan control strategy and the rules.
The public comment period and opportunity for a public hearing focuses on section 6 and the last paragraph of section 7.6 of the permit; as well as section 7.7 and section 8 of the statement of basis.
Anyone may submit written comment regarding the project and proposed action. To be most effective, comments should address air quality considerations and include support materials where available.
