Basics of Wastewater Treatment

Wastewater professionals who are interested in becoming certified wastewater treatment operators in Idaho are invited to attend Basics of Wastewater Treatment.

Course Description

This two-day workshop provides a fundamental overview of the different processes found at wastewater treatment plants. Each attendee will receive a copy of Wastewater Treatment Plant Operations Made Easy, A Practical Guide for Licensure by Spellman, F.R., and Drinan, J., a math booklet, and more than 500 review questions. Individual section presentations enable operators the opportunity to build on existing knowledge while presenting treatment processes not found at their facilities. Through the use of PowerPoints, videos, and multiple choice review questions this workshop is a great primer for entry level wastewater treatment certification. Instruction is provided by Andy O’Neill who is certified in Washington, Idaho, and Oregon as a Level IV wastewater treatment plant operator.

The course fee is $75, which includes two days of training and course materials. Lunch is on your own.

The course has been approved for 1.4 CEUs for wastewater.
