Five Acres on Rock Creek: Protecting Water Quality in Small Acreage Subdivisions documents the implementation, progress, and effectiveness of the Rock Creek §319 Demonstration Project. The purpose of the project was to educate owners of small acreages and provide them with the tools to properly manage their irrigation and nutrient application activities to improve ground water and surface water quality.
The video demonstrates to local governments, developers, and the public that the implementation of site-specific management practices that protect water quality will improve their property and subsequently save them time and resources. This project can serve as an educational tool to support the implementation of similar management practices in other areas.
