| Each year, each
community water system in Idaho must prepare an annual Consumer Confidence
Report (CCR) for its customers telling where their drinking water comes
from and what's in it. A community water system is a public water
system that serves at least 15 service connections used by year-round
residents or regularly serves at least 25 year-round residents (e.g.,
a municipality, subdivision, mobile home park, apartment complex,
or nursing home). (References: 40 CFR 141
Subpart O; IDAPA 58.01.08.151).
The
Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) for calendar year 2007 is due
July 1, 2008.
As in previous years,
DEQ provides a technical assistance document, Preparing Your 2007 Idaho
Consumer Confidence Report, to assist community water systems
in meeting CCR reporting requirements. The technical assistance document contains
a CCR template, instructions
for filling out the template, an appendix with standard examples
of sources of particular contaminations and contamination health effects language, a CCR certificate, and optional sample covers.
