Mine Waste Management in Idaho:
East Mission Flats Repository

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) have sited and acquired a 19-acre parcel of land for the purpose of providing a repository for wastes generated in the Lower Coeur d' Alene Basin. The property, referred to as the "East Mission Flats Repository" or EMF, is located adjacent to Interstate 90 (exit 39) and Canyon Road, about one mile west of Cataldo, Idaho.

For further information about the EMF and to access related documents, visit the Basin Environmental Improvement Project Commission (BEIPC) Web site. The BEIPC Web site is the repository for information and documents related to the Bunker Hill Superfund Cleanup project.
