 PM96-3: Policy for DEQ Public Hearings

 Purpose
To formalize a policy which sets forth the manner in which DEQ will conduct public hearings. This policy shall supplement any other policies regarding administrative procedures adopted by DEQ.
 

 Statement of Policy

1. DEQ will use certified court reporters to record and transcribe public hearings.

2. Public hearings on municipal wastewater construction assistance lists will be conducted by DEQ staff. All other DEQ public hearings will be conducted by outside hearing officers. The outside hearing officers will not be requested to prepare a report unless the specific circumstances warrant such a request.
 

 Implementation

This policy shall be effective immediately.
