DEQ seeks comment on proposed termination of IPDES Permit ID0023710

Accepting Comments from October 7, 2019 to November 15, 2019

DEQ is seeking public comment on a proposed action to terminate the Idaho Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (IPDES) permit for the city of Ashton's Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) (permit number ID0023710).

The facility ceased discharge to an unnamed tributary of Spring Creek by plugging the discharge pipe, constructing a storage lagoon, and obtaining a reuse permit (M-047-03) from DEQ to use the treated effluent for land application.
