DEQ seeks comment on draft hazardous waste post-closure plan for Lynwood Shopping Center remediation project, Twin Falls County

TWIN FALLS — The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is seeking public comment on a draft hazardous waste post-closure plan for the Lynwood Shopping Center remediation project in Twin Falls County.

A dry cleaning facility operated at the shopping center from 1962 through 1999, and perchloroethylene was found in the soil and ground water. The proposed plan provides procedures intended to monitor ground water for natural attenuation of the contaminants.

The draft plan and associated documents are available for review on DEQ's website (download at right).
