Board of Environmental Quality to meet November 14-15 in Boise

BOISE — The Idaho Board of Environmental Quality will meet November 14-15 at the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality, State Office Conference Center, 1410 N. Hilton, Boise.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. with a 30-minute public comment period on non-agenda items, followed by a report by DEQ Director John Tippets.
The board's two-day agenda includes proposed updates to water quality standards, air pollution control, Idaho Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Program, hazardous waste, and standards and procedures for application of risk based corrective action at petroleum release sites rules, and waste management and remediation staff will request board approval to use hazardous waste emergency funds for tunnel rehabilitation and grouting work after a tunnel collapse at the Triumph Mine site.
