West Silver Valley Air Quality Citizens Advisory Committee to meet November 15 in Kellogg

COEUR D'ALENE — The West Silver Valley Air Quality Citizens Advisory Committee will meet Thursday, November 15, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality's Kellogg office, 1005 W. McKinley Ave.

As part of the West Silver Valley Targeted Airshed Grant, the University of Montana School of Public and Community Health Sciences was contracted to develop an outreach plan for improving air quality in the West Silver Valley. Dr. Tony Ward will discuss the results of interviews and an online survey used to gather information for the plan and will present a draft plan for the committee’s review.

The committee will also discuss the status of grant projects for woodstove changeouts, woodshed construction, slash burning, and community education.
