DEQ seeks comment on Cache Valley redesignation request, air quality maintenance plan

BOISE — The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is seeking public comment on a proposed redesignation request and air quality maintenance plan for the Logan Utah-Idaho nonattainment area.

The Logan UT-ID Redesignation Request and Maintenance Plan addresses Clean Air Act nonattainment redesignation requirements and requests the Idaho side of the Logan UT-ID nonattainment area be redesignated to attainment for the 2006 fine particulate standard simultaneously with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's approval of a 10-year maintenance plan.

Interested persons may submit written or oral comments at a public hearing on September 10, 2019, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Larsen-Sant Public Library, 109 S. 1st E., Preston.

The document is available for review at DEQ’s state office in Boise and on DEQ’s website (download at right).

Written comments will be accepted through September 10, 2019, at 5 p.m. MDT.
