Clay Peak Municipal Solid Waste Landfill, Payette, applies to DEQ to modify air quality permit to construct

PAYETTE — The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has received a request from the Clay Peak Municipal Solid Waste Landfill to modify the air quality permit to construct (PTC) that regulates emissions from the landfill in Payette.

The proposed permit modification will allow the facility to install six additional landfill gas flares over the next two years. Emissions must remain within legally allowable limits.

A public comment period will be provided on the proposed permit if a written request is submitted to DEQ by January 4, 2018, at 5 p.m. MST.

The permit application is available for review on DEQ’s website (download at right).
