The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) invites businesses, organizations, communities, individuals, and schools to join in recognizing Pollution Prevention (P2) Month by participating in any method or activity that

• Prevents, eliminates, and/or minimizes the production of waste or pollutants at its source
• Uses non-toxic or less-toxic products
• Conserves energy or water
• Re-uses materials rather than throwing them away
