Are you eligible for free continuing education units?

Operators of public drinking water systems classified as very small water systems (VSWS) or distribution 1 (DST1) systems are now eligible for continuing education units (CEUs) for completion of limited “homework” activities, active participation in an enhanced sanitary survey, and follow-up corrective action planning associated with an enhanced sanitary survey. Each eligible water system operator can earn a maximum of 6 CEU hours (0.6 CEUs).

To receive CEUs, each eligible water system operator must complete all tasks to qualify for the full 0.6 CEUs. To review the tasks you need to complete to receive your sanitary survey CEUs, go to the Public Water System Switchboard and click on the button titled “Sanitary Survey CEUs.” Here you can download a one-page document titled “Sanitary Survey CEUs for Drinking Water Operators.”

Contact your regulating agency if you have questions regarding sanitary survey CEUs.
