The
Board consists of seven members appointed by the Governor, with
the advice and consent of the Senate. Members serve at the pleasure
of the Governor. Terms are four years.
Members must be citizens of the United States, residents of the
state of Idaho, and qualified voters. Appointments must assure appropriate
geographic representation of the state of Idaho. No more than four
members may be from any one political party. Two members are chosen
for knowledge and interest in solid waste; two for knowledge of
and interest in air quality; two for knowledge of and interest in
water quality; and finally, one for knowledge of and interest in
air, water, and solid waste issues.
